WHAT?
The Art Guild of Grow Benzie is hosting an evening to celebrate indigenous art, with local Ojibwe native, Neezho-Nimkee Kway. Participants will learn how to make a pair of authentic seed-beaded loop earrings. Neezho-Nimkee Kway is Ojibwe Bear Clan, born and raised in Northern Michigan, and a Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians Tribal Member. She and her husband, Dean, started Two-Thunder Gardens in 2022, building two greenhouses and a Three Sisters Garden. She creates authentic Ojibwe artwork, homemade zucchini breads (recently adding a dedicated gluten-free choice), handcrafted soaps and other bath and body products using pure plant based ingredients and essential oils.
